Introduction
GPTExporter ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the GPTExporter iOS app and related website.
GPTExporter is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI. ChatGPT is a trademark of OpenAI and is used only to identify the compatible service.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide or Generate in the App
- ChatGPT Login: When you sign in to ChatGPT inside GPTExporter, authentication happens through the local web session in the app. We do not collect, store, or transmit your ChatGPT password.
- ChatGPT Account Identifier: If available from the local ChatGPT session, the app may store your ChatGPT email or account label locally on your device so the app can show which account is connected.
- Exported Files: Exported HTML, PDF, Image, Markdown, Text, JSON, and CSV files are saved locally on your device. We do not upload or store exported files on our servers.
- Export History: Export records such as conversation title, format, message count, file size, date, and local file path are stored locally on your device.
Automatically Collected Information
- Device Identifier: We generate and store a unique device identifier to manage your account, usage limits, support requests, and subscription status.
- Usage Counts and Credit Balance: We track message export counts and available message export credits to enforce free tier limits and support continuation flows.
- Session Metadata: We collect session metadata such as session start and end times, app version, platform, and high-level activity counts.
- Event Analytics: We collect app event data such as onboarding progress, paywall views, purchase events, export started/completed/paused status, preview/share actions, and support link usage. This event data does not include ChatGPT conversation content.
- Subscription Data: If you purchase GPTExporter Pro, we use RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and our backend to validate and manage your subscription. We may store purchase validation metadata and subscription status.

- Your ChatGPT password
- Your ChatGPT conversation content on our servers
- Your exported files or their contents on our servers
- Your location data

Data Storage and Security
Local Storage: ChatGPT session cookies, exported files, conversation list cache, export history, and partial export continuation data are stored locally on your device. You can delete local app data through the Settings tab.
Server Storage: We operate a backend service hosted on Cloudflare Workers with data stored in Cloudflare D1. Our servers may store:
- Device identifier
- Usage counts and credit balance
- Session metadata
- Event analytics metadata
- Purchase validation and subscription status metadata
We do not store ChatGPT conversation content or exported files on our servers.
Data Security: Communication between GPTExporter and our backend uses HTTPS encryption. No internet-connected service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited metadata we process.

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with service providers needed to operate GPTExporter:
- Cloudflare: Backend hosting, database storage, and request processing
- RevenueCat: Subscription and entitlement management
- Apple App Store: Payment processing, subscriptions, refunds, and purchase management
- OpenAI / ChatGPT: When you sign in or use ChatGPT inside the app, you interact directly with ChatGPT through the local web session
